2. Visiting this page
This page is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd., with whom a data processing agreement is in place. When you open it, the server processes the technically necessary data: IP address, time, requested address, browser identifier and amount of data. These logs serve secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and are deleted automatically by the host after a short period. Fonts, images and scripts come from the same server; the page loads nothing from third parties.
3. No cookies, no tracking
This page sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and uses no analytics service. Your member's mico is only kept in the address of the page so that it is preserved when you share the link.
4. Checking the mico and sending your request
If you open a recommendation link or enter a mico, the page asks our service micovis.com (also operated by NexTao GmbH) whether the mico belongs to an active member and shows that member's user name. When you send the request, your name, WhatsApp number, email address, optionally your website, the chosen magazine, the mico, the language and the address of this page go directly to micovis.com. We store the request, credit it to the recommending member, notify our team by email and contact you via WhatsApp or email to agree the article. The recommending member only sees the number of requests in their account, not your details.
The legal basis is handling your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and, for crediting the recommendation, our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). To prevent misuse we count requests per IP address for at most one hour without storing the address with the request. We delete requests after two years at the latest, or immediately on request. Our email provider is webgo GmbH (Hamburg), acting as a processor.
5. Sharing via WhatsApp
The WhatsApp buttons are plain links. Only when you tap one does your device open WhatsApp (WhatsApp Ireland Ltd., part of Meta), whose terms then apply. Nothing is sent to WhatsApp before that.
6. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for us the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
